Biography

Miss Cakes [Emmy Kline] is an artist located in Raleigh, NC. Originally, she was born and raised in sun-shiny Florida and moved up to NYC. Soon, she realized she must be part lizard and can't survive in the cold, cold north, so she picked up and moved to NC.

Before leaving FL, she procured a very expensive piece of paper that says she has a BFA in Illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design. She has used every type of art supply she could get her hands on, which resulted in her artistic style varying to suit the materials used, but she specializes in portrait paintings, drawings, and illustrations. With her knowledge of art supplies and professional experience, Emmy now gets to test materials and teach art techniques for Jerry's Artarama. You can watch her host Jerry's LIVE every Tuesday at 5:30 PM EST, on Facebook or YouTube.

As of September 2019, Emmy was awarded The Denis Diderot [A-i-R] Grant to attend a 4-week Artist Residency at the Chateau d'Orquevaux in the Champagne-Ardenne region of France. Due to the pandemic hitting the world, the residency was moved to October of 2022. While there, Emmy created one vlog video for each week, which you can watch on her personal YouTube Channel!
